Amara was a brilliant scientist on the verge of a breakthrough in understanding the connection between the human mind and the astral plane. Her research attracted the attention of the Council, a paramilitary force with vast resources. The Council believed that Amara’s work could be used to create powerful weapons, and they sought to control her.
Amara refused to cooperate with the Council when they captured her. In a desperate attempt to escape, she attempted to replicate the Council’s technique of merging a human with an alien entity.
